No more criticism of the British system single-payer health care has never been committed to celluloid. Most noteworthy among the extras DVD is an alternate ending where Laszlo Almasy was transferred to an American hospital and healed within a few days, and an audio commentary produced by the Cato Institute.
For some reason I have never heard of this movie until it was recently on Comcast. I would like to put up with one of the top romance films of our time like the condition of Doctor Zhivago, but not quite good. However, since I bought the DVD for my collection and see from time to time for years to come. . . . . I wonder what this film would have been like if David Lean not produce / direct. . . . . .
Kristin Scott Thomas is so beautiful dam!
Best movie ever. . .
It’s a real movie? According to Elaine it really sucked
Kip was a character very likeable in this movie
Hands down, absolutely, positively my favorite movie of all time. Ever. I saw in the theater when I was 17 and now at 31 he is getting better.
Horrible Movie. I wanted to shoot before he’s dead
This wonderful film. . .
It seems that the video is much more interesting than the novel. I’m reading this novel in my English class in college and it is soooooo boring! I can not get through. I’ll watch the film and hopefully that will give me a new perspective and inspiring to read the novel.
I q @ ruth16mx with The piano is my favorite movie. Ineffable. . .
I read the book, not so sure if I should see the movie tho. . .
Rule No. 36: Your favorite movie is The English Patient.
best movie ever
blackyattack @ I agree. It’s a classic like “Sound of Music”!

If this is the most beautiful and at the same time sad love story ever, then close enough to anything a god it’s one of my all time fav movies. It just never gets old: and my two fav actors were in it (Dafoe, and Finn) and it is just better;)
This was the first film under the direction of Walter Murch using Avid editing. You can see the better quality compared to film, he edited using Final Cut, “Cold Mountain”. It’s a true pioneer in the assembly industry.
The English Patient is true masterpiece that deserves its Oscar. Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche as shown bright. Other players have been great ainsi.Touchant, deep, emotional, truthful, beautiful, sad – that’s all this wonderful movie
Hmm not a bad movie – but certainly exaggerated, the ultimate chick movie. Written for the Academy really – is the type of material they like. I say. . . . . “Ballier”
Uh, you should not try a movie before seeing it. And yes, it’s a great movie.
I doubt this movie is as good as raved (not to say it’s bad), but I’ll regarder.Hors Subject: “Lost In Translation” is a piece of shit. Oh my God. . .
14 years is still my movie of the great préféré.une épopéeQuel kind of love that makes you sacrifice everything you have, just to be with your amour.une will betray everyone for the love Promise me I will return to you “~ He… I was so touched by this.
It’s so much sacrifice. . . . . Considerable efforts
