I like the coins flying all over the place after the title explodes
@ninja9899cp for 1977 that was a groundbreaking trailer
Worst trailer I have ever seen… But best saga in the world.
Star Wars….in WASHINGTON DC….
i saw it 13 times in theaters…
i was seven years old then.
imagine youre in 1977.. i can do it. this films 4 years older than me
ahh i remeber back in the good ol days when i was a young boy and this was new……o wait im only 13…nevermind
if u look carefully this trailer is actually from 1976. (i know, big difference)
awesome
@Puppykins88
That just makes its success all the cooler!
It opened in a handful of theatres – and then, those theatres had queues around them which nobody could ignore. The trailer sucked, but the word-of-mouth ended up with a global phenomenon.
The legend of Star Wars is not just contained in its story-line, but in its queue-lines also.
@mikefromspace
David Prowse is exactly what you see on screen. All 7 ft (nearly of him).
He was not skinny in any way, but had a high-pitched Cornish accent.
So – during takes (James Earl Jones dubbed his lines on afterwards) – the scene would go:
TARKIN: He’s here? Are you sure?
DARTH: ‘E is ‘ERE? Oive not felt that presents .. since .. erm
But the man in the costume is definitely Prowse.
@2CSST2 you are bitching example-you kept this up for over 6 pages
you need to stop because this has nothing to do with teh fictioin known as star wars case and point never once doess star wars talk about a god or any thing of thta nature if i want to belive in a god then i should be able to with out getting shit from every corner of the world and ps there are people who stilll worship thor as they do zues and anubus so fuck off and leave the fans of a good movie alone
Wow…I don’t think I ever saw that trailer! That has to be the cheesiest ever!
Just think what it would have been like if they hadn’t got the voice right for darth vader. The actors were scared it would flop because there was some skinny english guy in vaders costume that sounded terrible!
Wow, this trailer manages to make Star Wars look a bit rubbish.
@PloK00nsClone No, no, no…. Let God decide what I am… You could still pray for him to decide I am a bastard, but like you said we must let God’s will make it’s way…. So why in the end are people even praying? Might as well skip that and get straight to his will! That guy who put all those lights there in the sky, he’s got a plan for us, let it be!
@metal9535 That’s right you got it, the existence of God is as relevent and as the existence of Thor. So I have no proof against him but I can say as confidently he doesn’t exist as I can say there is no invisible man besides me right now, even there at least the last one is not be omnipotent. What you don’t get though is that there is no reason why religion should be free of criticisism more than any other ideology, I simply said there is no God and you felt forced to accuse me of bitching
This trailer was bad. I don’t think it’s representing the movie very good.
@2CSST2 Lol…that’s funny. Well, I’ll be here in reality waiting for God to decide when the time for episodes 7-9 will come.
Best movie saga ever!
I hope to see the whole film again soon…
