Watched this three times on HBO. Never caught the beginning of the film but it is so great anyway. Whenever Leonardo and Kate star on a film, it is always EPIC.
The movie really reflects the brutal aspects of life. Though it’s great, it’s too depressive.

@leshark I’ve seen it, and it just failed to capture the “hopeless emptiness” like the book did for me, Richard Yates has an amazing way with words and it’s how the book is written that makes it brilliant less than te actual plot of the book and stuff, and it’s very rare that films can ever quite get it right. They’re making a film adaptation of “On The Road” and it’ll be lacking the same things this did.
