The Beatles have been 60, if they opened the door and all the other groups followed, I knew I was in the 60, s they kick started all this they have broken borders, they must be mentioned in this film the only reason I think they are not because of copyright reasons it still seems a good movie and I would love to see

Who cares if they have or if they do not have the music of the Beatles? ” Everyone knows the Beatles and their songs, there is nothing new! Pirate Radio shows other types of music that was around during that period was just as good if not better than any of the music of the Beatles. The Beatles are everywhere, you want to listen, watch Across the Universe or something like that! They do not have to be in everything, that’s what makes them cliche! Pirate Radio: Two Thumbs Way Up!

I do not really like how they say “… an American DJ and a band of renegades” it was not just the American style that has made all. Anyway this film and the boat that rocked both were phenomenal! I love them!

@ HeartInThe60s You think it might, possibly, maybe something a little to do with the difficulty in obtaining and paying for the rights of Beatles songs, rather than an active choice? It is an “indie” film after all if they did not exactly have an unlimited budget.

Although this movie is cute and definitely funny moments (added Carl Young & Mark Midnight), it is absurd to produce a movie about rock n ‘roll in the UK (or anywhere else) in 1966 and not a single mention of The Beatles. Not one. Oh, if you want to count the opening credits, there is one. Ridiculous! I kept waiting, but nothing came. There is a deleted scene where they are all outside of Abbey Road, though. The music of the Beatles were in 1966, then thumbs down.
I used to listen to pirate stations along the coast of the United Kingdom in the years 60.Pour far as I know they are still scattered to jour.Je know there’s nobody around just outside near Clacton on Sea. I was listening to them. Any Brit pop that I do not hear more. . . .
