  16. I recomend the film “A place in the sun” with Elizabeth Taylor and Mongomery Cliff, with 6 oscar in the 50´s…very similar theme an very good actors too.

  17. Smart and engrossing. The tension ratchets up at a deliberate pace to a denouement that is at once both shocking and expected. Best of its ilk since Allen’s “Crimes & Misdemeanors”. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is pitch-pitch perfect.

    Jonathan Rhys Meyers was just too effeminate to convince us of any passion for Scarlett.

    The other tragedy Woody Allwn directed with Ewan MacGregor & Colin Farell was better, if you like that sort of thing…

    …personally, I find life tragic enough without paying for it when I go to the cinema or rent a DVD.
