ES Posthumus – Isfahan

Album: Unearthed ES Posthumus is an independent music group that produces cinematic style music. It is a form of epic classical that fuses intertwined drum beats with orchestral and electronic sounds. Their music is inspired by the Pythagorean Philosophy which states that “music is the harmonization of opposites; the conciliation of warring elements”. The ES is an acronym for “Experimental Sounds” while Posthumus is a word that represents “all things past”. According to the group, ES Posthumus was formed in 2000 by brothers Helmut and Franz Vonlichten. Helmut and Franz studied piano with their mother. After graduating from high school, Franz worked in recording studios while Helmut attended and graduated from UCLA, with a degree in archaeology. ES Posthumus’ music has been licensed by many movie and television production studios; being included in numerous movie trailers and television shows. For instance, the song “Posthumus Zone” was composed for the CBS Sports TV programs The NFL Today and The NFL on CBS. ES Posthumus have so far released two albums.

  6. I HATE THIS SONG. THE ONLY GOOD MUSIC IS RAPPERS LIKE LIL WAYNE AND TPAIN.

Just kidding! This guy is pretty amazing. I’m a fan of a lot of music, but I think this is an awesome way for people to get back in touch with their classical side.

  15. Anyone who agrees that this song has an underlying meaning that hints to an afterlife, grittygreenhorn, is a retarded, bible pushing waist of life. Im hoping that your stupid post was the result of a coffee high you suffered from the hours you spend in cafes, at after church brunches and worship group/bible study meetings. You more than likely partake in those activities because it makes you feel intellectual and close to god. People like you are the reason a fourth of my school is atheist

  16. Come on you cant just go and say things like that scoutone. It makes casual passers by whose intentions were to only listen to the music and browse the comments, like me, have to stop and go out of their way just to ruin your fun.

  19. LOL!! The angel guy and the older man make me think of this convo
Older man: Why are you looking at me like that? I’m writing the works of the lorrd …
Angel: You spelled “lord” wrong …
Older man: Dang it -.- Stop looking over my shoulder! It makes me nervous! ):<
That silliness aside, great song as usual from E.S. Posthumus =)
