ES Posthumus – Ebla

Album: Unearthed ES Posthumus is an independent music group that produces cinematic style music. It is a form of epic classical that fuses intertwined drum beats with orchestral and electronic sounds. Their music is inspired by the Pythagorean Philosophy which states that “music is the harmonization of opposites; the conciliation of warring elements”. The ES is an acronym for “Experimental Sounds” while Posthumus is a word that represents “all things past”. According to the group, ES Posthumus was formed in 2000 by brothers Helmut and Franz Vonlichten. Helmut and Franz studied piano with their mother. After graduating from high school, Franz worked in recording studios while Helmut attended and graduated from UCLA, with a degree in archaeology. ES Posthumus’ music has been licensed by many movie and television production studios; being included in numerous movie trailers and television shows. For instance, the song “Posthumus Zone” was composed for the CBS Sports TV programs The NFL Today and The NFL on CBS. ES Posthumus have so far released two albums.

  4. @kittycatlillian, ILOVE Globus. My favorite song is Europa.
Funny thing is, I got both of these songs from Maple KombatVII by dray86. He animates SOO well. The music he integrates into his animations is beatiful.

  12. @hatebush1234 I think you will LOVE Uni depending on where you go. If you are going to be studying music you will be in love with the world opened up to you. Libraries of every genre you can imagine. The education you receive from fellow classmates on artists, writers, and musicians you didn’t know existed…it goes on and on. For creative types “like us” in the right Uni, it is promised to be the best 4 to 8 years of your life, depending upon if you are chasing a BA or a Masters. b excited!

  21. @michaelwii well ill give you the benefit of the doubt i am young,im only 17 so when you say college musicians im about to find out soon lol. when i said that most of us listen to rap i meant the kids at my school(high school) who cant appreciate other kinds of music. same goes for whites(not trying to sound racist) that only appreciate rock and metal. i think i have a grasp on what you mean but if im still shy on what you are saying please fill me in

    - hatebush1234
  22. @hatebush1234 I think you are young and don’t understand BLACK america. Wait until you are older before you start passing judgement. The majority of College educated musicians listen to this kind of music because above all else, this is beautiful and the compositions of the this particular artist would pique the interest of any true musician regardless of race. Don’t base what you know on what you think you know. I hope you can understand what I mean by that, but if not, just ask :)
