9 – Shane Acker’s original short film/cartoon (now adapted into a full CG movie)


This is the original CG short cartoon version of “9″ which was written and directed by Shane Acker in 2005. It has now been expanded into a full-length CG movie co-produced by Tim Burton which was released on September 9, 2009 (9/9/09). Visit www.dan-dare.org for loads of free related fun and games.

  10. I’ve seen a few short films before, but none have been done this well, it was unique and intresting and I like how you have to interpret it at the end. Very well done.

  12. This was cool. I liked the movie too. Liked both really and liked the difference between the 2. Interesting in how the talisman was used as an alert to signal that the cat monster was nearby

  14. I love this so much. I’m trying to understand how the posts with numbers disapeared, thoough. I love hos this is scary and suspenseful but still understandable, though artsy. BEST SHORT EVER.

  17. Just got back from watching the feature. MARVELOUS world he created. I loved the story and it was well paced, kept moving and just when you thought it was going to get slow, the surprised you with something new to marvel at.

  19. You should look up James Cameron’s Avatar. It’s supposed to be the first example of next generation CGI (even surpassing the uncanny valley).
